Hello Stewarton neighbours, local clubs, village groups, charities, school organisers and anyone building something for the community.
I am preparing the public relaunch of 4Development.Net. It is a small, local web hosting and support service run by someone who lives here. Before going fully live, I want to support a small number of genuine community groups while I finalise the platform.
Why I am doing this
Local community organisations deserve a proper home online. A website gives you:
- a central place to share news, events, contact information and membership sign ups
- a sense of identity and a professional public face
- reliability without depending on personal social media accounts
Many people already know me from www.StewartonWeather.com. This offer comes from the same long running technical background, now formalised as 4Development.Net Hosting Ltd.
What I am offering
I am offering a limited number of pre-launch places for local groups, clubs or charities in Stewarton and Ayrshire. This offer is not open to businesses or sole traders.
Each participating group receives:
- hosting, SSL and managed email
- a basic site structure created for you, using the text, images and content your group provides. This is not a full design or branding service
- optional help adding simple items such as a contact form, an events list or downloadable documents, as long as your group supplies the content
- backups, monitoring and basic deliverability checks
- one full year of free hosting from the date the site goes live
- the domain is owned by the group, not me
No adverts. No pushy sales tactics. Just a stable, local service.
After the free year
When the free year ends, your hosting will renew onto the standard Core plan at the regular public price unless you cancel beforehand.
You will receive clear advance notice before any billing begins.
If you choose not to continue, you keep your domain and I can provide a copy of your site so that you can host it elsewhere.
Who this is for
This offer is suitable if you are:
- a local club, sports team, charity, volunteer group, school affiliated organisation or community initiative
- a group that would benefit from a stable, easy to maintain website
This offer is not available to:
- sole traders or micro businesses
- anyone seeking a commercial, profit oriented website
Why owning the domain matters
Your group registers and owns the domain in its own name. This gives you independence and long term control, even if hosting changes in the future.
Clear, relevant names work best, such as:
